History Of The Canada Creek Railway
Timeline1989 - CCR opened with two trains (Blue Nose and Yellow Nose) and took guests from the park to the Thorpe Farm
1996 - A new train (New Nose) was added to the fleet 2006 - Thorpe Farm closed 2007 - CCR re-routed around the Canada Creek area of the park 2008 - Temporary closed for construction of the Canada Creek Coaster (Saw The Ride) 2009 - Re-opened with a new accommodated route through the Gerstlauer Eurofighter Saw The Ride 2011 - Thorpe Park announced that after 22 years in service the CCR was going to close at the end of the 2011 season 2016 - The Canada Creek Railway Route was utilised for the Fright Night Attraction: Platform 15. 2020 - Platform 15's route was altered, due to the extra safety measures required due to the Covid19 Pandemic, the route now follows the correct way that the trains used to run. 2021 - Platform 15: End Of The Line - The final season of the scare maze, following the same route as the 2020 version. 2022 - The remaining part of the railway and locomotives left the resort for the demolition for the construction Project Exodus. |
