Welcome to the fansite for Thorpe Park's Abandoned Miniature Railway, the Canada Creek Railway, Rocky Express, and the Fright Night attraction: Platform 15.
Canada Creek Railway operated at Thorpe Park from 1989 to 2011.
Platform 15 operated for six Fright Nights between 2016 to 2021.
From when it opened in 1989 to 2006 the Canada Creek Railway took guests to the farm and back to the theme park, but since the latter closure of the farm at the end of the 2006 season the CCR has been running a loop around Canada Creek area of the park due to the shorter circuit, the three trains (Blue Nose, Yellow Nose and New Nose) were shortened down from it's original five coaches down to three coaches.
In late 2013 and early 2014 rumours had been circulating that the Canada Creek Railway would return to Thorpe Park in the 2015 season, this is made even more promising with them working on the track work for the railway, and at the time it was suggested that out of the three trains that are still on park, two of the three were still in working order, but sadly the railway never returned to the resort, in the traditional sense. |
In 2016 the old route of the railway around the now defunct Loggers Leap was used as a live action scare maze experience called Platform 15, the maze features Canada Creek Railway train No.2 (Yellow Nose) as part of it's theming. Ever since 2016, Platform 15 remained a strong favourite among park guests and kept the legacy of Thorpe Park's classic abandoned Miniature Railway alive.
For the 20th Anniversary of Fright Nights in 2021, Thorpe Park announced as part of it's line-up, that Platform 15 will return for it's sixth and final season as; Platform 15: End Of The Line. Final call for all passengers! Depart on a one-way ticket and trek along the overgrown railway line, the last known route of the vanished locomotive - the notorious Sleeper Express. Don’t lose your tracks and risk disturbing the haunted souls that were once aboard. Can you outrun what lies at the end of the line or will your journey terminate here, at Platform 15? |
Platform 15 was nominated for the Best Original Concept and Design category in the Scare Con Awards in 2017.
